Founded in 1981, Sean Energy began with this drawing, when Sean Phillips was 8 years old:


                      
He showed it to his father, who told him "Don't ever let anyone see this. They will kill you."

Sean has long since discovered the fallacies in this diagram.  But, his enthusiasm for alternative energy never dwindled.  Some people golf in their spare time, Sean builds generators out of household appliances.  Believing one day, he will tap into the unknown power which moves the universe.  On one occasion, maybe a little inebriated and disappointed with the picture quality (or, that was his excuse) of his 46 inch Sony LCD, he took it apart, removing the cooling fan, stripping the speakers of the thin copper threads, then taking out the capacitors and transformers, he built a mini generator which produced 180 watts, as he used a dremel to spin the little turbine.  His wife came home, seeing their new television in pieces, she just rolled her eyes.

There are a lot of would-be-contractors, just trying to get in on the next wave of government fundings for technological advancements in energy. For Sean, this is his passion. He wouldn't walk away from this industry for the world, much less all of the money in it.  Sean doesn't need to make anymore money, he does this for the thrill of converting wind, water, light and stable minerals into electricity.  He does it for the smell of warming cobalt-copper-zinc-iron, the discs, plates, rods and wires, the cooling compressors.  Who would you rather have build your project; just another contractor hoping to retire young, or someone who does it for the thrill of hoping to achieve perfection?
